We are pleased to announce that following our survey last year and acceptance of our affiliation application, we will be playing the Hills Association in the new season – no more trips down to Putney and Gladesville! We are working closely with the new association and are excited about the new teams and ground locations. There may be a teething issue or two in this first season as with all new things, but we are in good hands and are confident this is the right long term decision for the club and our members.

Pumas, Hills Football and 2017

The Hills Football Association from last year has dissolved, and has been replaced by a Football NSW sanctioned association called simply Hills Football (HF).

The Pumas have the option of staying with the Gladesville Hornsby Football Association (GHFA), or moving to the new HF. The committee would like to see your input prior to making a decision, however we will need to make the decision by Tuesday November 1 to ensure that we affiliate in time for season 2017.

To have your say, please take the time to complete this short, 5 question survey at the below link BEFORE Monday October 31st:

So, what does it mean to change from the GHFA to the new Hills Football?

What will change:
1. Our opponents – new clubs in Hills Football (including Glenhaven and Kenthurst, who are changing to HF)
2. Playing fields – all fields will be in the Hills Council area (west of old Northern Rd), from Glenhaven to Rouse Hill, and from Kenthurst to North Rocks
3. Tuesday night training at Edward Bennett will no longer be available – we are looking at replacement options in Dural and Glenhaven for non-Glenorie residents

What will NOT change:
1. Our name, club culture and values
2. Uniform and home fields at Pacific Hills and Les Shore
3. Fees, insurance and Football NSW endorsement
4. Development pathways – Champion of Champions eligibility and representative football

Please feel free to contact either myself, or any of our committee, if you’d like further information.

Grand Finals and Presentation Day!

Congratulations to our Grand Finalists from the All Age 4, 11 and 13 teams. Good luck on Saturday!

Our Junior’s Presentation Day will be held on Sunday 11th September at Pacific Hills Oval from 2pm.

Remember to get your jerseys to your coaches and managers after your last game. They can be handed back at Presentation Day.

All games canceled this weekend due to wet weather

The GHFA have advised the following due to the rain recently:

As Ryde Council will be closing all grounds tomorrow and Hornsby Council will be closing six of their grounds, this weekend’s matches are all cancelled

Other grounds closed are Macquarie Uni, Epping Boys HS, Redfield College and Pacific Hills

These are the arrangements for the remainder of the season:

Div 1 competitions:

The Championship RR matches in Div 1 competitions scheduled for this weekend will be rescheduled to the weekend of 13/14 August

The Pennant RR matches will not be rescheduled. The Pennant will be awarded to the team currently on top of the Pennant RR table. No Pennant will be awarded if only one match has been played as per By Law

The final Premiership round will be rescheduled to 13/14 August. Please check the draw to see if there any changes to venues/times

Semi-finals will be played at Pennant Hills on 20/21 August as follows:

Premier League
