Pumas, Hills Football and 2017

The Hills Football Association from last year has dissolved, and has been replaced by a Football NSW sanctioned association called simply Hills Football (HF).

The Pumas have the option of staying with the Gladesville Hornsby Football Association (GHFA), or moving to the new HF. The committee would like to see your input prior to making a decision, however we will need to make the decision by Tuesday November 1 to ensure that we affiliate in time for season 2017.

To have your say, please take the time to complete this short, 5 question survey at the below link BEFORE Monday October 31st:

https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/C2N8H7N

So, what does it mean to change from the GHFA to the new Hills Football?

What will change:
1. Our opponents – new clubs in Hills Football (including Glenhaven and Kenthurst, who are changing to HF)
2. Playing fields – all fields will be in the Hills Council area (west of old Northern Rd), from Glenhaven to Rouse Hill, and from Kenthurst to North Rocks
3. Tuesday night training at Edward Bennett will no longer be available – we are looking at replacement options in Dural and Glenhaven for non-Glenorie residents

What will NOT change:
1. Our name, club culture and values
2. Uniform and home fields at Pacific Hills and Les Shore
3. Fees, insurance and Football NSW endorsement
4. Development pathways – Champion of Champions eligibility and representative football

Please feel free to contact either myself, or any of our committee, if you’d like further information.

Grand Finals and Presentation Day!

Update from GHFA

Thank you to all clubs for the patience over last weekend. We managed to play all the RR matches, even though some teams were inconvenienced with unusual times and venues. A total of seven grounds were closed which made the relocation of matches a challenge.

Therefore, we are into R2 of the RR for most age groups and commencing the RR for those playing 2 rounds. The only competition to complete their Premiership is U16/1

The U12/5 Pennant competition has been split into 2 groups – 5b and 5c and there will be a pennant awarded in each

All draws for the coming weekend are now available on the website.

The draws for 6/7 August will be ready by Tues morning

Regards,

Mark Lockie

Round Robin Draws Released!

The GHFA have released the draw for the Round Robin games – see below from the GHFA.

“The draw for this weekend is now available on the website
Remember you will need to select “2016 Round Robin” in the drop down menu, and for those competitions still completing their Premiership competition select “2016 Premiership”
Please check all draws carefully as some Premiership matches previously scheduled may have been moved to accommodate the RR matches

Note the following in regards to the Round Robin competition that commences this week:
• Championship competitions are labelled as 1, 2 etc, Pennant Competitions as 1b, 2b etc
• Under 15 Div 1 Pennant teams have been combined with U15 Div 3 Pennant teams in the U15/3 Pennant competition (U15/3b)
• Under 17 Div 2 Pennant teams have been combined with the bottom teams in U18 Div 1 and 2 for a combined U17/18 Pennant Comp (U17/18/2b)
• O35 Div 1 and 2 Pennant teams have been combined for a O35/1 Pennant competition (O35/1b)

Please advise any corrections asap

The draw for rounds 2 & 3 of the RR will be released by the end of this week
The draws for those competitions commencing their RR on 30 July will be released on Monday next week”

Go Pumas!

Draw changes – Games moved to this weekend!

The GHFA have rescheduled the washed out games – see below from the GHFA.

Also, jump on the GHFA website to see the dates for the Championship and Pennant Finals series.

“Please note the following:
PL & SL – all matches from 9 July have been rescheduled to 6 August. The finals dates will remain the same

U17 and above age groups, incl AA, O35 and O45:
Washed out matches from the weekend have been rescheduled to next weekend 16/17 July
Some AA, O35 and O45 matches are scheduled to commence at 11am on Sat, so please check
R12 matches that were previously rescheduled to 16 July have been moved to Sunday 17 July which means some teams will need to play double headers this weekend
This will enable us to finish the Premiership competition for these age groups this weekend and retain the three round RR for Championship and Pennant

U12 to U16 age groups:
Some divisions have had their washed out matches rescheduled to 16 July – this is where there were no R12 rescheduled matches taking place
Under 12 Div 3, 4
Under 14 Div 3
Under 15 Div 3, 4

The remaining divisions have had their matches rescheduled to 23 July, as it was considered unreasonable to schedule double headers for these age groups during school holidays. These divisions will have their Championship/Pennant RR over two rounds

Please check all draws carefully as there may have been changes to previously published draws.”

Round 10 washed out!

It’s a washout! All games for round 10 4/5 June have been washed out.

Enjoy your weekends!

It’s raining, it’s pouring…

It looks like the wet weather is settling in!
We wont know until tomorrow morning if games will be cancelled due to ground closures.
So make sure you check out the website below to confirm your field’s status before game time tomorrow.

GHFA Announcement

A number of adjustments have been made to the competition tables in the divisions where teams have been re-graded as follows:

U16/1, U14/2, U12/3

The teams that have played the teams that have been moved out of the division have been allocated 3 points for a bye and the goals for and against adjusted to 3-0 for that match

The teams that have moved out of the division take their points and goals for and against to the new division

Note the tables adjustment will not show this an additional bye, but the additional points will appear.

Also note that 3 more rounds have been created for the U16/1 to make the draw more equitable.

U18/1 & 2

The points won and goals for and against after every team has played each other will be added to the totals for the 4 teams in Div 1 and to the 6 teams now in Div 2. The team in each Division with the highest points will be Premiers. The teams in Div 1 will be play in the finals for Div 1, and top 4 in Div 2 will play the finals series for Div 2 and bottom 2 for the pennant

In Div 2, the games played against the teams moved to Div 2 become byes with 3 points and 3 goals for an 0 goals against.

The Competition Director is aware of the differences in games played in Div 1 and this will be considered towards the end of the Premiership if necessary

West Epping and Carlingford 2

Note that Carlingford 2 has been withdrawn from use as it is not considered fit for play at the moment. All matches have been re-scheduled to other venues for the remainder of the season – some open age matches have had to be moved to Sundays so please check draws carefully

West Epping will be closed from 1 June as it is being  upgraded to synthetic. All Sat competitive matches have been moved to Meadowbank 8 – Epping FC will be responsible for ground dressing. Non-competitive matches have been moved to various venues.

Sunday matches have been re-allocated to various venues.
