Week 4 (9 May)
RESULT: DRAW 2-2
SCORERS: Nick Grul x 2
Hills Hawks proved to be tough opponents and were up 2:0 early in the first half.
Strong play and determined tackling by Matt Fawcett, with persistent defense and passes through to the attack by Justin Waters assisted us in maintaining the score until Nick Grul scored late in the first half. Great effort in goal keeping with strong goal kicks by Tom Mills prevented Hills Hawks from scoring again. Our substitutes Alex and Zech fitted into the team extremely well with great efforts in both attack and defense. Nick Grul scored in the second half leveling the score and unfortunately we couldn’t find the net again before the final whistle.
Thanks to Alex and Zech for helping us out so brilliantly, and to Clayton Waters who kindly substituted as referee when the official ref did not arrive.

Week 3 (2 May)
RESULT: LOSS 2-3
SCORERS: Nick Grul x 2
Gladesville Sharks showed strong and well positioned game play in the first period of play and were up 3:0 early into the game, mainly due some poor defense by PHD. Two well deserved goals by Nick Grul made the game much more even for the balance of the first half and gave us all hope of victory.
The second half saw PHD playing with much more determined attack that tested the Sharks’ defenses. Alex’s high kick attempted goal narrowly missed scoring. Nick O’Neill was strong and persistent in defensive tackling. The score of the second half, 0:0, reflected the even nature of the majority of the play.

Week 2 (18 Apr)
RESULT: DRAW 2-2
SCORERS: Mark Crosato, Andrew Meikle
A tough game against a strong and determined opposition.
West Pennant Hills started with an early goal and were the more dominant team in the first half.
PHD came back in the second half scoring two great goals, the first goal by one of our substitutes, Andy, and the second goal finished by Mark after a powerful throw-in by Harry. Tom saved many other attempted goals by WHPC but unfortunately for us they managed to score in the last minute of the game to equal the score.
Thanks to our substitutes Andy and Zech, great game boys.
Aiden showed good defensive play in the corners while Harry was vital with his effective clearance kicks and strong and lengthy throw-ins.

RESULT: Win 7-0

A convincing start to the season by an enthusiastic team.
The 2 new players of Mark and Aiden fitted in beautifully with great team play and some well timed passes. Powerful kicking by Harry in the backs made a powerful impact.
Great effort by all the guys.

Under 16/2 Draw
